A sweet apple footprint would make a great card for grandparentsOh my gosh, the kids are back to school (I can't believe how fast this summer went, can you?!), and that immediately called to mind the old-school notion of bringing an apple for the teacher. To celebrate this time honored tradition, we're sharing a sweet footprint apple craft you can try at home with your little ones!

Footprint Apple Craft

Supplies

  • Paper
  • Red, green and brown paint
  • Brush

Directions

  1. Paint both your child’s feet red (or whatever color apple you’d like to cerate) and make side-by-side prints, 2-3 inches apart. The toes of the feet should be angled slightly outward.
  2. Trace the outline of an apple around the footprints.
  3. Draw two seeds in the space between the prints.
  4. Add in a stem, leaves and any other details you may wish to include.

Your children’s feet are meant to be treasured—not to hurt! If your little one is experiencing any kind of discomfort when they walk, run or put on their shoes, schedule an appointment with children’s podiatrist Dr. Andrew Schneider.
