This creamy classic Waldorf salad can be made diabetic friendly with a few easy swapsClassic recipes are classics for a reason—so good, they stand the test of time. Unfortunately, healthy eating trends and the rise in instances of diabetes (especially Type II) are more recent developments. Which means that older recipes tend not to worry about excessive amounts of carbs, fat, sugars and calories in general—things you can’t afford to overlook if you are living with diabetes.

That’s why I always get excited when I come across diabetic-friendly versions of some of my favorite menu items—like this Waldorf Salad from Food.com. Hope you enjoy!
