Fuller House is Actually Awesome: Here’s Why!

Fuller House's Steve is a podiatrist just like me!Raise your hand if you spent all last week binge-watching Fuller House on Netflix. Ok, I’m guilty too! Obviously it’s cheesy, got awful reviews and relies waaaaay too much on recycled plot line from the original series…BUT here’s why it’s still amazing!

First of all, I think it’s pretty clear that the stars know exactly how terrible the scripts really are, and they’re just embracing the nostalgia.

And second? DJ’s old boyfriend, Steve, is all grown up and now he’s—wait for it—a podiatrist!

So many people ask me why they should see a podiatrist for their foot pain instead of just visiting their regular doctor or an orthopedist, and I always explain the following: Just like your regular MD, a podiatrist goes through four years of medical school and three years of hospital residency training. Unlike your general physician, however, a podiatrist devotes those years solely to studying disorders of the feet, toes and ankles.

Think of it this way: would you rather have a plumber or a general contractor come to your house when your pipe bursts and there’s water everywhere.

If you don’t have to think too long about that question, you’ll clearly understand the importance of seeing a podiatrist when you have a problem with your feet: the extra-specialized care you’ll receive could make all the difference when it comes to your treatment plans.

So next time you have a problem with your feet, think of Steve from Full House and schedule an appointment with your Houston podiatrist.  You’ll be happy you trusted your feet to a specialist!
