What if you could wear sexy high heels AND be comfortable?

It seems like an oxymoron. Many women don't think it can be done. So many patients ask if such a thing exists. It becomes a foregone conclusion. Do you sacrifice fashion for comfort or comfort for fashion.

One answer that our Houston podiatry practice often suggests is using a custom orthotic in the shoes. This is especially true if there is any instability in the foot and ankle mechanics that causes bunions and hammertoes. Unfortunately, not every shoe can accommodate a custom orthotic and, frankly, not everyone needs a custom orthotic. In fact, I always counsel my patients that a custom orthotic does not make an uncomfortable shoe become comfortable.
