What Is Your Foot Pain Stopping You From Doing?

We all have our goals and dreams. Some wish to climb Mt. Everest or hike the Appalachian Trail. Others want to run a marathon or triathlon. Still others simply want to be able to play with your kids or shop in Houston without being in pain. What's holding you back? If it's foot pain, isn't it time to do something about that?

There are so many cliches about foot pain. My favorite is "When your feet hurt you hurt all over." This is figuratively true, but could also be taken quite literally. When you have any pain in your foot, whether heel pain, pain in the ball of your foot, or an ingrown toenail, your body will naturally try to offload it. This is going to cause you to walk differently and puts added pressure on the ankles, knees, hips, and back.

Visiting your Houston podiatrist will do more for you than simply address and solve your foot pain, it will allow you to not stand in your own way to achieving your dreams and goals. Persistent heel pain can be treated and relieved so you can walk the streets of Europe without pain. Bunions and hammertoes can be corrected with surgery, or treated with padding, so you can wear the shoes you want to your daughter's wedding. Ingrown toenails are very easily corrected with an in-office procedure so you don't have to worry about your foot being stepped on while playing basketball.

It's what I love about being a podiatrist in Houston, TX. I love being a partner with my patients, to learn what they care most about, and to do my part to help them achieve it. We have so many roadblocks on the way to realizing our goals. Don't let foot pain continue to be one of them.
