We all know how quickly kids’ feet grow, leaving us with a seemingly endless supply of outgrown socks and shoes. Want a great way to repurpose these reminders of your child’s once-tiny feet? Try this craft I found on Love and Lollipops.
No-Sew Caterpillar
Supplies
- Socks (little ones)
- Batting or cotton balls
- Elastic bands
- Plastic eyes
- Pipe cleaners
Directions
1. Take a piece of batting or cotton about the size of a golf ball and push it into the toe part of the sock.
2. Shape the sock-end into a nice ball. When you’re happy with the size, seal it off with an elastic band. You can use elastic bands in colors that matched the color of the socks if you want to get fancy, but any elastic will do the trick.
3. Repeat step one and two until you get to the end of the sock. There will probably be a little bit of sock left at the end.
4. Attach the pipe cleaner, by inserting it through the top elastic band at the caterpillar's head. Bend it in half to make two antennae.
5. Attach some eyes and there you go...a no-sew caterpillar!
