Hand and Footprint Bunnies
Supplies
- Pink and White Paint
- Markers
- Construction Paper
- Mini Paper Plate
- Googly Eyes
- Pom Poms
- Scissors
- Glue
- Double Stick Tape
Directions
- Painting both of your child’s feet and hands. For the feet, paint the outside and toes white and use pink for the middle. For hands, painted the outside and finger tops white and paint the palm and a little bit of each finger pink. Don’t paint thumbs.
- Make the prints on construction paper. Let them dry, then cut them out.
- While prints are drying, let your child make the bunny face out of the mini paper plate. Draw on a mouth and whiskers with markers, then glued on googly eyes and a pom pom nose.
- Cut out an egg-shaped piece of construction paper for the body and curved ovals for paws. Glue paws and handprints (they will be the bunny’s feet) on to the body.
- When the face is dry, use double stick tape to attach the plate head to the body and the footprints (they will be the bunny’s ears) to the head. Ears can stick straight up or hang down and look floppy.
This is a good project to do with preschool aged or older children, as a little patience is need and the child’s involvement is encouraged.
