Treat Your Feet for Summer: Pair Your Shoes and Pedis

Our office continues to be open to all new and existing patients. We use hospital-grade sanitizers and are taking measures to ensure patients maintain social distancing by not having anyone wait in our reception room with others. If you prefer to wait in your car, just give us a call and we will call or text you when we are ready to bring you straight into a treatment room. Our entire staff is wearing masks and we encourage you to do the same.

For those patients who cannot or still wish not to visit the office, we are offering private video telemedicine visits. Simply call the office at 713-785-7881 and ask for an e-visit and we will be happy to get you set up for an immediate appointment. You can also request an appointment through our website.

A flatform pairing suggested by the editors of Today.comIn the world of feet, even I can be surprised sometimes. Apparently, matching your toenails to your footwear is now a big deal for summer. Color me surprised, but on board, as long as you avoid super-high peep toes or bare-bones-support flip flops. Here are some great suggestions for finding your soles mates (Get it??)

Bohemian Rhapsody

If you like a fringed sandal, go for an earthy tone with hints of beige—the laid back, low fuss vibe of both choices work well together.

Lace Love

Do you dare to try the season’s high-impact lace up sandals or gladiators? A choice this bold calls for an equally impactful polish—think a dark hue, with glittery accents if you’re feeling extra festive. But be careful when going with a darker-hued polish—nail beds can get stained or discolored. To combat this pesky problem, lightly buff your nails with lemon juice and give your nails a few days to breathe before applying your next coat.

Perfect Prep
If stripes and other prepster staples are your jam, stick with tried-and-true pastel hues. Pretty, classy and classic!

Pump Up The Flatform

These archless platforms are all the rage—and a podiatrist’s dream!—but kind of bland. Spice up the look with an electric pink polish.

Basic Beach

Think a simple sandal has to be boring? When you slip your shoes off in the sand, why not show off sweet peach-tone toes that echos the hues of the setting sun ?

Clearly, there are plenty of ways to have fun with your shoes and polishes this summer—as long as your feet don’t hurt, that is. If foot pain is keeping you from dressing up your feet, schedule an appointment with Dr. Andrew Schneider today.
